In order to avoid any hassles, we highly recommend that you plan very carefully ahead, as well as organize all your items, and follow the TSA checklist very carefully. This means, that when you are screened, you have the highest chance of entering the country with all your valuables. Even though the item may be allowed, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) might decide the item to be screened again if it hints at a security breach.

If you are traveling with any TSA prohibited items, you may be subject to hefty penalties.

2. Liquids Rule


It is permitted to take a small-sized bag of creams, gels, sprays, liquids, as well as pastes in your carry on luggage. The limitation is, that you are only permitted to travel with travel containers that are 100 milliliters or less (3.4 oz).

To make the screening process much more convenient, as well as quicker, please separate these items from the rest of your carry-on luggage by placing them in a small plastic bag. If you do have any liquids that are over 100 milliliters, you will have to pack these items in your checked luggage.

3. Flammables


Due to checked and carry-on luggage restrictions, most flammable items are strictly on all flights to the USA. Although, Lithium batteries, as well as phone chargers, are permitted. Smoking items are permitted in the cabin. However, all other items, such as weapons, explosives, flammable liquids, gas products, as well as airbags, etc… are prohibited. 5. TSA Food


Ever pondered the question, “can you bring food on a plane?”. If so, and you are planning on traveling with food, but are not sure what you can take, make sure that you read this section carefully. Find out what things you can’t take on a plane and whatnot.

In most cases, you are allowed to transport dry food, but it is not permitted to carry animal products on-board. Liquid beverages must be transported in containers up to 100ml, regardless of the actual quantity of liquid transported. Although, the main exceptions to the rules concerning liquids are related to baby foods, as well as food products linked to specific medical schemes.

6. Household and Tools


TSA has very strict guidelines in order to maintain a high level of security in the country. With this being said, TSA has implemented certain airport security rules as to what you can take on an airplane in regard to household tools.

For flights to the USA, the most common household items are allowed in your carry on. There are exceptions, however,  applying to sharp objects and flammable items. Sharp, piercing or heated tools are prohibited in cabin luggage. However, those are in most cases allowed in checked baggage, except for highly flammable substances. 7. Medical


When traveling by plane to the US, you can take the most common medicines and medical items in your carry on.
