Complete your interview upon arrival in USA – Global Entry Enrollment

ESTA Visa Guide  – Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the United States has launched a service that makes planning an entry interview from abroad a lot easier than before. This service, called “Enrollment on Arrival”, allows travelers to add their entrance interview to the US to facilitate international entries.

The Global Entry Interview is a common immigration program for travelers. It is for those who return to the United States. By launching this new program, the CBP hopes to make changes that will help save time.

The Enrollment on Arrival program will allow international travelers to avoid a long and irritating wait that can sometimes take months. Once approved by the Global Entry program, travelers can go to any Global Entry kiosk to scan their passport and their fingerprints before proceeding to the baggage claim area. Global Entry members can also take advantage of TSA Pre-Check. This is the program that allows low-risk pre-approved travelers to go through security checkpoints more quickly as an additional bonus.

American citizens, nationals, and permanent legal residents are all eligible for this program with a NEXUS membership card. Countries with pre-approved low-risk travel arrangements are eligible for Global Entry. Among those are, for example, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Colombia, Germany, India, Mexico, the Netherlands. Also, Panama, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Switzerland are eligible.

In order to be part of the five-year affiliation program, travelers have to submit an online application. Once they pass a background check, they will need to have an interview with a CBP agent on-site at select airports.

Although some travelers may have followed these steps, they still have to have an interview to become a member.

The program requires you to pay a $100 fee before the interview at the Global Entry enrollment centers. These centers also include those from Canada and Qatar.

Travelers should note that other criteria may also apply if necessary.

This new service is currently available in certain American airports. Those include New York (JFK), Tampa (TPA), and San Francisco (SFO). However, also certain Canadian and international airports such as Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR), and Dublin (DUB) offer this service.
